Blue Chip ("the app") is a personal-finance tool that lets you track stocks you own and get simple, rule-based buy/hold/sell suggestions. This page explains what data the app handles.
The app does not require or offer any account creation, sign-in, or user identification of any kind.
The list of stock tickers and share counts you add is stored only in a local database on your device. It is never uploaded to, or stored on, any server we operate -- we don't operate any server. Uninstalling the app deletes this data.
To show current prices and compute suggestions, the app sends the stock ticker symbols you add (e.g. "AAPL") to two third-party market-data APIs:
No personally identifying information is included in these requests -- only ticker symbols. Please review those providers' own privacy policies for how they handle API requests.
The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or any other tracking technology.
Buy/hold/sell suggestions are generated by a simple, transparent rule-based heuristic running on your device. They are not financial advice and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for investment decisions.
